Want a manga, doujinshi, or CG set translated?

I can translate from Japanese to English, and I can edit and typeset manga pages as well. Just send me an email or message me on Discord while providing the raw source in Japanese (e.g. a Mega/Mediafire/Catbox link to a zip file or a link to the ExHentai gallery), and I’ll look through it and determine if I can do it.

I generally post my completed commissions on this blog as well as on ExHentai if applicable. However I do respect my clients’ privacy, so if you want your commission to be private, please tell me so in advance so that you will be the only person to see my translation. Additionally, all my commissions that are posted publicly will be credited to Anonymous unless you tell me that you want your name to appear, so if you do want to be credited by name, please tell me in advance.

What do you not work on?

There is the possibility that I might just refuse to work on something, either because I find it too advanced for my skills or knowledge, or because I’m too busy at the time.

For content tags: Loli is welcome! Shota, incest, netorare, rape, yuri, and yaoi are also welcome!

Content tags I will not work on no matter what are insect, birth, scat, and guro. I won’t work on any art drawn by Akatsuki Souken or Iwai Takeshi either.

I’m also very unlikely to pick up a serialized manga series in the middle of its run, because that would likely mean having to go back and read over several chapters/volumes of story, something I don’t have much time to do.

It’s also possible that the art style or the nature of the content could be too extreme for me to handle in some way that is not mentioned above. However, it doesn’t hurt to ask, so if something is not one of my disliked tags but seems questionable, don’t be shy and just send it to me and I’ll see if I’m up to the task. I definitely intend on going through with every commission I get paid for.

Payment Information

Commissions are paid upfront via PayPal. I don’t accept cryptocurrency (e.g. Bitcoin) or other payment platforms (other than Ko-Fi for donations).

My minimum prices for translating manga and CG sets are listed below in bold. All prices are in USD. The price for the commission may increase depending on the difficulty of the language, the difficulty of cleaning/redrawing/typesetting, or the sheer volume of work per page (e.g. a lot of text), and the pricing will be on a case-by-case basis (some chapters may be more difficult than others). For a full edit with translation, $3 per page is my minimum, but it’s possible for especially difficult manga to go above $5 per page.

Also note that any text that covers up art rather than being inside an opaque text bubble, also known as floating text, requires redrawing. So editing manga that have a significant amount of text like this might require a significantly higher commission price.

Full manga edit with translation (includes cleaning/redrawing/typesetting, basically the requested manga images with English text):
$3-$5 per page (approximately). $3 per page minimum

The above is what my clients typically want when they request a translation of something, so if all you tell me is that you’re asking for a translation of something, that’s what I assume you want by default. But if you only want a text translation of a manga with no editing, that’s an option too, just remember to tell me specifically for that.

Manga translation only (no editing, translation is sent to the client in a txt file):
$1.5 per page minimum

I can do novel/light novel translations as well.

Novel translation (minimum price depending on difficulty):
$0.03 per character

My minimum price for any commission is $15. Any request below that will be rounded up to $15.

My PayPal is the same as my contact email, and will appear in the invoice I send so you know it’s me:

Once I have confirmed that I will work on a commission, I will send an invoice via PayPal to your email address (please provide one if you’re contacting me via Discord). Once you receive the invoice, please pay as soon as you realistically can; if the invoice is unpaid after 24 hours, the deadlines I set might have to be extended since I don’t start work on projects until they are paid. You may also choose to send money to me directly via PayPal but please tell me if you do so. And please don’t send money if I didn’t agree yet on doing the commission, or I might have to treat the payment as a donation.

If you want to donate, please support me via Ko-Fi.

Cancellation Policy

I don’t do refunds. If you wish to cancel a commission, I can do so as long as I haven’t started working on the commission at the time you request cancellation.

I will not cancel a commission if I have already started working on the commission at the time you requested a cancellation. Everything I start work on will definitely be released no matter what.

When a commission is canceled, the amount you paid for the commission is added to a balance which can be used to pay for new/future commissions you request from me. For example, if you cancel a $50 commission, you will have a balance of $50. You can then make a new commission that costs $90 and only pay $40 because the balance was deducted from the price of the new commission. Or you can make a new commission that costs $30 and pay nothing because the price of the new commission was less than the balance, and still be left with $20 balance that can be deducted from future commissions.

Translation Style

I don’t machine translate, at all. All of my translations are genuine and human-made.

I generally keep Japanese honorifics in my translation unless they have a direct English parallel or if I feel localizing them will suit the translation better. I only translate sound effects that I feel are “necessary” to understand or appreciate what’s going on, so a page that’s stuffed with a hundred different sound effects might only get translations for a select few.

I generally translate afterword pages, unless I find them particularly troublesome to deal with (e.g. lots of references I don’t know), or if the client requests I don’t translate them. I do NOT redraw or typeset lewd body writing. I will only provide translations for lewd body writing (in margins or in translator notes) if specifically requested.

If you have a certain request for how you want the translation to go, I’m willing to cooperate as long as it’s something I’m both capable of doing and willing to do. (Extreme examples of things I can’t do is dialogue written in Middle English or heavy Scottish accents.) Just remember that requests that significantly increase the volume of work might increase the price of the commission.

How long will it take?

It depends on the work and how busy my schedule is at the time of the request. If you want a very rough estimate, an average 20-page manga chapter might take me 1 day to translate and 2 additional days to typeset if I’m not already working on something else at the time.

I generally work on my clients’ commissions in the order of “first paid, first served”. All of the deadlines I mention before being paid are estimates, they may change depending on how soon I get paid. Deadlines are set after I get paid. I can also accept commissions for multiple works at once, that way it’s easier to reserve time slots on my schedule.

My timezone is Central Standard Time (CST), and it’s the reference used in the dates and deadlines I give.
